Shinozaki
Hotel Nikko Guam announced the appointment of Yusuke “William” Shinozaki as general manager. He previously held the title of acting general manager, a position he was appointed to in 2019.
Shinozaki formerly was the assistant general manager at the Hilton Guam Resort & Spa, and prior to that director of rooms at the Nikko Guam. He began his career in Guam as director of sales for the Guam Marriott Resort & Spa in 2009, and has held appointments in Thailand, Vietnam and China during his almost two decades in the hospitality industry.
Shinozaki holds a 2007 bachelor’s of business administration from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minn.
He is chairperson of the Hotel and Tourism Program Committee at Guam Community College, a community position he has held since 2016, a member of Skal International and an American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute Certified Rooms Division executive.

Wiese
RIM Architects LLC has announced the promotion of promoted Inna Wiese to principal.
Her career at RIM has taken her from intern to principal at the firm. She brings more than 25 years of experience to the post, with 18 of those years working at RIM on a wide range of projects in Guam and Saipan.
Wiese holds a bachelor’s of science in architecture from Mapua University in Manila. She is a registered architect in Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional specializing in Building Design and Construction (LEED AP BD+C).
Wiese is an active member of the business community and the architectural industry. She is a past President of the American Institute of Architects Marianas Chapter.

Masga
Gold’s Gym Saipan has announced the appointment of Michelle Masga as assistant manager.
Masga joined Gold’s Gym in August 2016 and achieved her National Academy of Sports Medicine qualification as a Certified Personal Trainer in 2017.
During her time with Gold’s Gym, she has held various roles, including those as a customer service representative, personal trainer, and fitness instructor.

Okada
Mary A.Y. Okada, president of Guam Community College; has been selected as chairperson of the Guam Education Board. Angel R. Sablan, director of the Guam Department of Parks and Recreation; has been named vice chairperson.
Other members of the board include Christine Won Pat Baleto, chief financial officer of Docomo Pacific and master franchisee for Pacific Froots LLC; Ronald L. McNinch, associate professor of public administration at the University of Guam.

Santos-Bamba
The University of Guam has named Sharleen Santos-Bamba as Senior Vice President and Provost.
She previously was interim senior vice president, a position she was appointed to in August 2023, and formerly associate dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences.
Santos-Bamba received tenure as a member of the UOG faculty in 2015.
She holds a doctorate in English from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a master’s of arts in literacy education from the Pacific Lutheran University in Parkland, Wash., and a bachelor’s of arts in English from the University of Guam.
Santos-Bamba also holds a graduate certificate in management development from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
UOG also named Yuming Wen as the Director of the Water and Environmental Research Institute of the Western Pacific; Pamela Peralta as interim vice provost for the Office of Research and Programs; Gena Rojas as the interim dean for Enrollment Management and Student Success; Maika Vuki as the interim associate dean for the Colleges of Natural and Applied Sciences, and Andrea Sant as the interim associate director for Telecommunications and Distance Education, and Online Learning.
The Hotel Association of the Northern Mariana Islands announced its 2024 board of directors.
They are Dennis Seo, general manager, Pacific Islands Club Saipan, chairman; Ivan Quichocho, general manager, Century Hotel, vice chairman; Clayton Darlington, general manager, Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan, secretary; and James Arenovski, owner, Island Training Solutions, Sachiko Gerrard, general manager, Aqua Resort Club Saipan, and Martin Jambor, general manager, Kano Resort, all board members.
