In the Spotlight

In partnership with First Lady Michelle Obama’s #BetterMakeRoom initiative to promote higher education, MTV featured essays by graduating Guam high school students on its website. John F. Kennedy High School senior Mikayla Datu’s essay, “The Best Part About Growing Up on a Tiny Island in the Pacific,” was published on April 18. Academy of Our Lady of Guam senior Noelle Monge’s essay, “How I Embraced Being Known as ‘The Girl with the Curly Hair,’” was published on May 25. The essays can be found on www.mtv.com.
