Films receive awards at the Guam International Film Festival

In the Spotlight

You Deserve Tomorrow, directed by James Davis, received the Best Made in the Marianas Award from the Guam International Film Festival, held from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1. The 2017 Grand Jury and other award winners are Forgive Don’t Forget Us, directed by Brad Bennet for Best Documentary Feature; Ku Kanaka: Stand Tall, directed by Marlene Booth for Best Documentary Short; Bernard and Huey, directed by Dan Mirvish, for Best Narrative Feature; Il Silenzio, directed by Ali Asgari for Best Narrative Short; Korea’s Hanna Kim for the Achievement in Acting Award; Kuleana, directed by Brian Kohne for Best of Festival; and Island Soldier, directed by Nathan Fitch for Audience Choice Award.
