Philippine Airlines in February began showing its newest in-flight safety video, “Heart of a Nation,” to passengers on flights to all of its destinations. The video was created though crowd sourcing. It depicts the Filipino values of maaruga, or caring, and bayanihan, or unity and cooperation, according to Philippine Airlines.

The video was co-developed with McCann Worldgroup Philippines Inc. with the support of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines and the Department of Tourism.

Production of the video took place in Legazpi, Cebu, Boracay, Davao, Coron, Laoag, Bohol, Cagayan De Oro and Manila and included auditions in nine Philippine destinations.
